Beaufort AI Companion — Enrollment & Consent

Beaufort AI's wellness companionship service (the "Companion") is enrolled on behalf of a program participant by a family member, legal guardian, or authorized caregiver ("the enrolling party").

How enrollment works

  1. The enrolling party contacts Beaufort AI directly (phone, email, or in person) and requests enrollment for a named participant.
  2. Beaufort AI confirms the enrolling party's relationship to, and authorization to act on behalf of, the participant.
  3. Beaufort AI explains the service, expected message frequency, and the opt-out method (reply STOP) before enrollment.
  4. The enrolling party provides the participant's mobile number and gives explicit consent for that number to receive SMS messages from the Companion service.
  5. Enrollment is confirmed in writing (email or text) to the enrolling party, and the participant receives an opt-in confirmation message before any other messages are sent.
Consent is never assumed or automatic. No phone number is enrolled without a documented, explicit request from an authorized enrolling party. This is a small-scale, high-touch program — Beaufort AI staff speak directly with every enrolling party before any number is added.

Message frequency

Varies by program configuration, typically 1–5 messages per day.
